Complementary description. Flowering stem (15-)21-39 × 4.8-5.5 cm., simple or branched (with up to 3-7(-13) erect branches), yellowish-cream to ± light purplish-brown (ripe or dry stem will turn reddish-brown to ± dark brown the same as leaves and bracts), glandular-pubescent especially above. Leaves 8-9 × 3.2-3.5 mm, triangular-lanceolate to ovate-lanceolate, acute. Inflorescence 14.8-18.4 × 3.8-4.4 cm, relativly long (ratio inflorescence/stem = 0.45-0.51), cylindrical (ratio wide infl. / long infl. = 0.22-0.29), dense and polyanthous (34-40 flowers) and usually attenuate at the upper part with ± widely acute to obtuse apex. Flowers sessile or subsessile, erect to erecto-patent. Bracts 7.5-9 × 2.6-3.1 mm, triangular-lanceolate, shorter than calyx. Bracteoles 8.6-9.8 × 0.6-0.9 mm, linear-lanceolate, shorter than calyx. Calyx (7-)10.0-12.5 × (3.3-)4.7-6.5 mm, tubular-campanulate, 4(-5)-toothed, calyx-teeth (3.5-)4.8-7.0 mm, relatively strong, ± narrowly triangular-acute, the fifth tooth is normally broad-triangular to triangular and shorter than the rest, the others are about as long as the tube or longer than the tube [ratio teeth / tube = 0.85-1.45(-1.67)]; bracts, bracteoles and calyxes are of the same yellowish-cream colour (sometimes ± tinged with purple) and indument (dense, translucent-white, glandular hairs). Corolla 19.5-27 mm (5.0-7.1 mm wide at the throat and 2.7-3.6 mm wide at the constriction), longer than calyx (ratio calyx / corolla = (0.36-)0.41-0.54), tubular-infundibuliform (with relativly long tube and dorsal line slightly curved or almost straight), bilabiate; pale blue (whitish towards the base, below insertion of stamens), without dark violet veins (incospicuous longitudinal nerves); pubescent with light glandular hairy outside (specialy on the upper and lower surfaces), glabrous inside except for the two white (yellowish-white in immature flowers) longitudinal hairy folds (dense, translucent-white, septate non-glandular hairs on all surface) and hairy lobes (septate non-glandular hairs specially at the edge); the upper lip of corolla is conspicuously bilobate with ± erect lobes; the lower lip is trilobate with deflexed, ± rounded or subrounded and erose (edge irregularly and minutely toothed) lobes of almost equal size. Filaments 6.2-9.9 mm, sparsely and conspicuously non-glandular hairy at the base, white (yellowish-cream towards the base at the insertion point of stamens), inserted 4.3-6.8 mm above the base of corolla-tube. Anthers 1.5-2 mm (incluiding the apiculum, 0.26-0.34 mm), glabrous, white (occasionally ± cream towards the base). Ovary glabrous or sparsely glandular hairs at the apex, cream; with an annular and dark yellow coloured nectary at the base. Style sparsely glandular-hairy on all surface, white. Stigma slightly bilobate and disciform, white to yellowish-white (immature flowers). Capsule oblong to ovate, brown, glabrous. Seeds subglobose to broadly ovoid, reticulate, whitish-grey to black.

Chromosomatic number: n = 12, 2n = 24 (Schneeweiss & al., 2004, sub "cf. gratiosa G. Beck").
