Comments:

Morphological obs.: Orobanche densiflora, O. foetida and O. sanguinea [incl. O. crinita] are three morphologically and genetically close species (Carlón & al., 2005: 62) of which at least two, if not all three of them, should probably be present in the some places at the same time (e.g., Ball, 1878: 604; Pau, 1924: 371; K 000425199-202 [mixed gathering]). This could be a possible source of misidentifications, specially with the less typical specimens.

[N.B. O. densiflora, O. foetida, O. sanguinea [incl. O. crinita] and O. variegata are four relatively close species which are probably all present on the northern coast of Morocco and Algeria (e.g., Ball, 1878: 604; Pau, 1924: 371; K 000425199-202 [mixed gathering of different specimens from Algeria and Morocco]). This could be a possible source of misidentifications, specially with the less typical specimens].
