Comments:

Taxonomic observation: From our point of view, Orobanche sideana Gilli, is a yellow variation of the typical O. camptolepis. However, Orobanche hermonis seems to be a highland form of O. camptolepis. According to Beck, 1890; Beck, 1930; Novopokrovskii & Tzvelev, 1958; we have also included this species in the Orobanche sect. Inflatae (Beck) Rouy in Rouy & Foucaud, Fl. France 11: 167 (1909 [Jul 1909]) [Orobanche subsect. Inflatae Beck in Halácsy & H. Braun, Nachtr. Fl. Nied.-Oest.: 124 (1882)].

Morphological observations: "caulibus nanis ... squamis bracteisque coriaceis late ovatis in mucronem brevem hamato-recurvum ... stigma ... rosello" (Boissier, 1879: 516).
